Friday, June 19, 2009 : New Guild Raid Attendance Policy Selenia
Clearly there has been an issue with attendance in guild. People are either showing up on Tuesday for the first three loot pinatas in Ulduar and not showing up for progression raiding later in the week, or they're not showing up because they don't think a raid will run, and then they log on non-raid days and complain because we aren't raiding. This all ends now. Beginning June 29th we are enacting a new policy to deal with raid attendance that will reward those who show up, and weed out those that do not. This is your official warning, and after the 29th, there will be no "I didn't see the memo" excuses accepted.

-Our 25 man raid nights are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

-You recieve one strike for each raid you do not attend without giving reason.

-3 strikes = gkick

-Raiders who show up for raid WILL RECIEVE LOCKOUT DKP to encourage them to continue showing up, even if the raid does not make, as the assumption is it will soon make.

-Strikes will wear off at the rate of one strike every two weeks, if you do not earn another strike during that 2 week period.

-Notifying an officer of your reasoning for not attending a raid will mean you do not accrue a strike for not attending, based upon officer discression. "I have to work," "I have a massive amount of homework" and "My arm just rotted off from a brown recluse bite" will all be acceptable reasoning. "I don't want to raid tonight" will still get you a strike.

-You may notify an officer by any means necissary. In-game mail, whispering them, telling them in person, etc.

-Extenuating circumstances (i.e. I just had a baby, or I have a 1 year old, or I just had surgery) will not accrue strikes, but that is subject to officer approval, etc.

-2 strikes demotes you from "raider" status to "member" status, meaning you lose access to the guild bank, and all other perks associated with the rank of raider.

We are a 25 man raiding guild. This 10 man only stuff is for the birds. Sure, it helps us learn the fights, so we should get in them of our own volition, but in the end, we are a 25 man progression guild, and we're falling behind on progression. Let's straighten up, regain that want to kick Yogg in his fat ugly face, and prance around in the purples we all want.

See you in Ulduar.

Tuesday, May 5, 2009 : Fragment of Val'anyr Toin
We had our first Fragment drop toady for the Legendary Mace. So now there needs to be some explaining to how we're gonna start handling the Legendary. After much discussion the Officers finally came to a decision.

In the event that a legendary drops, it will go to Bids. This is to reward those players that come to the raids regularly. Secondly, you must have a 70% raid attendance to bid on the item. (this will include previous raid tiers)

Bid Rules
We felt it was right to allow raiders to go into neg for a legendary, but of course we had to put restrictions on it to make it fair for everyone, additionally we wanted to continue to reward those raiders that save their dkp for such an item. SO

1) You ARE allowed to go max 2k in the negative without spending any of your current DKP for the item.

2) You ARE allowed to spend any (if not all) of your current DKP on the Legendary to put your further in the neg and therefore putting you ahead of others to receive the item.

3) IF it requires multiple drops, the WINNER of the first drop will then have all rights to the other drops, however; each drop afterwards will cost 75dkp to pick up. Of course we are allowing these drops to put u back into the negative.

This News post is open to change in the event that we feel things are unfair or should be changed. Thankyou for your time
Tuesday, April 21, 2009 : Ulduar and T-8 Raiding Calas
Here is the plan for Ulduar and T8 Progression.

We will continue Clearing Naxx 25 on Tuesdays to gear up some of the new people and upgrade gear for some Raiders who still need a piece or two to complete their sets. we will no longer be awarding DKP for T7. However we will allow people with T7 DKP the option to spend it on gear they need in Naxx.

the loot priority will go like this, Mains will able to spend their remaining DKP on Naxx gear and will bid as normal against others who wish to use their DKP. If no one wants to use DKP it will go to roll, random 100 for main spec, random 50 for off spec. (raiders who are on an alt by necessity will be allowed to use their DKP for their alts main spec. (by necessity, means they have been asked by an officer to fill a role that is needed)

The plan is to take the 25 man raid to Ulduar first and kill Flame Leviathan, since it it is not a gear dependent fight and then head to Naxx. we will reward T8 DKP for those in the raid and those on Stand-by. there will also be a T8 DKP incentive for those who complete the Naxx run. Each week we will advance farther into 25 Ulduar and split the Naxx run into two days Tues. Sat. and Mon. as necessary.

if there is not enough people to fill a 25 man Naxx. we will take a 10 man into Ulduar. and there will be a T8 DKP reward for those in the raid and those that are on Stand-by. (10 man loot will be rolled on not using DKP)

we will run 10 man Ulduar on Thurs, Fri, if enough are availible, and Mon.

We will begin alt Naxx 25 mans on Saturdays if there is enough interest, sign-ups will be available today

On another note, We have had a problem filling raids recently. mostly due to raiders joining pug Naxx runs and then being unable join a guild raid. starting now, there will be a 500 DKP dock to any raider who gets their main saved to a non guild 25 man naxx or Ulduar. if you are in a non-guild 25 man or 10 man NAxx or Ulduar during our regular raiding time, you will recieve a DKP wipe and demoted to Non-raiding status. this is not negotiable. Either Raid with Resisted or find another guild.
